Our Team

Jonathan Verge, President and Founding Artistic Director, grew up in Lebanon, NH and was an active part of the performing arts community in the Upper Valley until graduation from Lebanon High School in 2000. He studied Musical Theatre at Syracuse University, one of the top musical theatre programs in the country. His training at Syracuse University led to an opportunity to hone his skills while enrolled in a Shakespeare Intensive program at The Globe Theatre in London.

Following his graduation with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theatre, he began his professional theatrical career in New York City where he assisted Daisy Prince on the world premiere production of John Bucchino’s It’s Only Life at The Beckett Theater. He was the assistant to Lonny Price on the Ravinia Festival Production of Anyone Can Whistle, starring Patti LuPone, Audra MacDonald and Michael Cerveris, in the Chicago suburb of Highland Park. While a Producing Intern at The American Theatre Company, Jonathan associate produced the Chicago premier of Yeast Nation: The Triumph of Life, mentored by PJ Paparelli, before accepting a position as Producing Director of Bailiwick Chicago.

Jonathan returned to the Upper Valley in 2016 to found The Gatherwool Theatre Company, LLC at Briggs Opera House.

Clint Carter, Vice President, Treasurer and Founding Executive Director discovered his love for the theater at a young age and performed in numerous shows throughout the community. This led him to attend Otterbein University where he pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater.  Balancing a full class schedule with rehearsals and performances, Clint found time to build up a private vocal studio as well as oversee musical direction for local arts education company,

Broadway Kids.  An internship with NBC casting during his senior year provided invaluable insight into the industry of art as commerce.

Upon receiving his degree, Carter moved to New York and began to perform in regional productions and national tours all while cultivating Carter Vocals, his successful vocal studio. Clint now turns his attention to The Gatherwool Theatre Company, LLC.  Carter Vocals, meanwhile, continues to grow, with over 60 students having passed through its doors and upwards of a dozen regular weekly students working and thriving as singers and performers at all levels of professionalism.
